Studentleader

The Student Leader is a full-time position dedicated to addressing key issues for students and leading the student democracy. As the Student Leader, you represent students on academic, economic, and rights matters on campus.

To become a Student Leader, you must run for the position in January-February and be elected by the student body. Submit your candidacy between January and February. If interested, contact the Campus Council at ctin@uit.no for guidance. The election takes place annually in March.

Deputy Leader

As the Deputy Leader in the Campus Council, you are part of the executive committee, working on issues, activities, and projects planned and executed by the Campus Council in Narvik.

To become Deputy Leader, you must run for the position in January-February and be elected by the student body. Submit your candidacy between January and February. If interested, contact the Campus Council at ctin@uit.no for guidance. The election takes place annually in March.

Main Representative

As the Main Representative, you are part of the Campus Council's board and work with the executive committee on handling academic issues reported by class representatives and financial matters, such as the allocation of semester fee funds.

​

The Main Representative is elected at the Campus Council's general meeting in the fall semester. You can only run for Main Representative for your specific institute. This position is remunerated.

Clas Representative

As a class representative, you are the recipient of issues from your fellow students. If there is an academic matter that your class or a fellow student believes should be addressed, you will forward it to the Main Representative to ensure it is handled at the appropriate level. Class representatives are required to attend the Campus Council's general assemblies and the annual representative conference.

Representative in the Student Parliament

As a representative in the Student Parliament, you represent the students in Narvik and have voting rights on matters addressed in the parliament.

To become a representative, you must run for the position in January-February and be elected by the student body. Submit your candidacy between January and February. If interested, contact the Campus Council at ctin@uit.no for guidance. The election takes place annually in March.

Representative IVT Faculty

The Faculty Board is the highest body within the faculty. The Campus Council in Narvik is responsible for conducting elections for student representative positions in the IVT Faculty Board. Two representatives and deputies must be elected, ensuring gender balance. One representative will be an internal student from the Campus Council's executive committee and the other an external student.

The election must be completed by June 20, and the term runs from August 1 for one year.

Representative in the Learning Environment Committee (LMU)

The Learning Environment Committee (LMU) works to ensure the best possible learning environment at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

The committee consists of 12 representatives, with an equal number of students and staff. Each year, the committee selects a chair who alternates between staff and student representatives. Narvik appoints a student representative annually.

Buddy leader

As a Mentor Leader, you and your mentor board plan activities for new students and mentors at the start of the semester, during mentor weeks, and throughout the fall semester.

Term: November to November, a total of 1 year.
